Girls on the Run is a nation wide organization that helps the more than 200 local councils to organize young girls in 3rd through 8th grade to come out after school to participate in an enrichment and running program. The program inspires self confidence, teaches life skills, and gets girls who may not have other opportunities to move, learn teamwork and meet new friends. The program culminates is a 5K run/walk/crawl – any way to cross the finish line. RCAA is partnering with GOTR to help with this final 5K event!
What: Volunteer inside (chairs available) at the GOTR 5K Celebration Expo. Volunteer positions include having direct contact with 3rd-8th grade girls and their families, mostly sitting behind tables supervising and helping with the Crafts Tables, pointing people in the right direction at Information Tables, and/or checking in participants at Packet Pick- Up/Registration. All of these jobs are inside and in close proximity to each other.
When: Sunday, November 24th, 6:45am volunteer check-in, ending between 9am- 10:45am (coffee and food available for volunteers!)
