A quick smile and an easy laugh – Lori Athley is definitely a person who is all about fun.
Throughout her serious 25 year career at UM where she is currently Business Administrator Lead, Biostatistics Department in the School of Public Health at Michigan, she has mentored dozens of young women. In addition to raising her three children and participating whole heartedly in all their activities, she hosted eight high school exchange students and supported their many activities. Serving all ages, Lori has visited nursing home residents and helped with household chores for people returning from hospitals. She has also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity.
Lori is not one to let a need go unmet and she will be leading our Club in meeting those needs. In July she will present a project to support young mothers in Kenya to our International Humanitarian Projects Committee. She is interested in STRIVE and out other community outreach projects.
Lori loves the out of doors and lives on a twenty acre farm in Grass Lake. Her favorite mode of transportation is a John Deere E-Series tractor. Her current family includes many rescue animals – cats and dogs, horses, geese and ducks – and a peacock family with three babies.
