Emeritus and honorary member programs

The Board has approved a formalization of our Emeritus and Honorary member programs administered by the Membership Committee. Under the general guidelines of the Emeritus program, members at least age 80 and with over 20 years as a Rotarians will be eligible if the total of age and service totals around 115 or higher. Emeritus members can choose to be Active or Inactive. Sixty-one Rotarians have achieved this status over the years since the program was started under President Al Burdi. The Board has also established rules for the terms of membership by Honorary members. The club currently has six Honorary members. More information on these programs will be provided at Wednesday’s meeting.
