A Race To Erase Mental Health Stigma

See below a note from Past President Collyer Smith. Collyer shared his personal story and plans with us to eliminate the mental health stigma during our weekly meeting on April 15, 2020 (watch the recording here). He has been very active so far in Rotary District 6380 and has big plans to expand his impact.

I am very excited that the Ann Arbor Marathon will be dedicated to solely raising funds and awareness for mental health on March 21, 2021 in Ann Arbor Michigan. With your support, we can further educate the public, and provide resources, to those suffering from this disease:

A Race To Erase Mental Health Stigma

The event will include a marathon (26.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K, 5K, and a Kids Run. All events are walker friendly! A portion of each registration will be donated to mental health focused organizations. In addition, there will be a Health and Wellness Expo, the day prior, where approved mental health organizations will be offered free booth space. Space is limited-

In 2019, over 2,500 participated in the race- primarily from Michigan, Western Ontario, and Ohio. We hope to have even more in 2021!
